Instagram Data Use & Deletion

Last updated: 1 July 2026 · Applies to the LeadPages connection operated by Bean Culture Pty Ltd (ABN 33 600 754 676). This page supplements our Privacy Policy.

LeadPages lets a business connect its own Instagram account so that its Instagram posts can be displayed on the business’s LeadPages website. This page explains exactly what Instagram data we access, how we use it, and how it can be removed. We handle this data in accordance with Meta’s Platform Terms and Developer Policies.

What we access

Only after a business explicitly authorises the connection through Instagram’s official login, and only for that business’s own account, we access:

We request the minimum permissions needed for this feature.

How we use it

What we do not do

Storage and retention

Connection tokens are stored securely and used only to refresh the displayed content. Displayed media may be cached with our image provider (Cloudinary) and our database (Supabase). We retain this data only while the account remains connected. When you disconnect, or on a deletion request, we remove the stored tokens and cached media within a reasonable period.

Revoking access

Revoking access stops any further data access immediately.

How to delete your Instagram data

To have all Instagram-sourced data we hold about your account deleted:

  1. Email privacy@webculture.au from the address associated with your account, with the subject “Instagram data deletion” and your Instagram username.
  2. We verify the request and delete stored tokens and cached Instagram media associated with your account.
  3. We confirm completion by email, normally within 90 days.

You can also trigger removal instantly by disconnecting the account in your dashboard, which deletes the stored connection and queues cached media for removal.

For Meta reviewers

This application accesses only the connecting business’s own Instagram account, with the sole purpose of displaying that account’s media on the business’s website. A data deletion method is provided above. Our full Privacy Policy covers all other data handling.
